Niobium

2019

Copper Wire (welded), Linear Steel Metal Rod, Black Metallic Paint, Blue/Purple Metallic Paint

Based off of the organic form of the Niobium crystal, this piece was created as a way of showing that not all organic compounds and creations are made with soft lines and curves. Placed on the wall to try and describe the often spontaneous and random places that crystals grow when found within the Earth or grown, I wanted this piece to display how the various faces of a crystal have an infinite number of possibilities to grow and expand.
